Our next walks from the Summer Programme 2014:

Saturday 27th September 2014

Our next walks will be on a full day, finishing at Haworth on Saturday 27th September 2014.
The ‘A’ walk will be led by Mark Shackleton and is a circular from Haworth, starting from the car park at Haworth and joining the Bronte Way leading to Penistone Country Park.  We then ascend the trigpoint at Penistone Hill for a magnificent view of the surrounding area before descending to rejoin the Bronte Way and on to Moor Side Lane and Drop Farm to follow a moorland path which passes Leeshaw reservoir.  We ascend Bond Clough Hill and Oxenhope Stoop Hill then cross open moorland (which is very boggy) to Dick Delf Hill where we join the Pennine Way, passing the ruins at Top Withins to Upper Heights Farm, where we turn off to descend to Bronte Bridge.  We then follow the Bronte Way back to Moor Side Lane where we retrace our steps back into Haworth. Some magnificent views with lots of heather on the moorland.  The highest point is Dick Delf Hill at 1,4695 ft.  8½ miles.
The 'B' party will be led by Sylvia Dyson and is a circular from Haworth starting at the car park in Haworth, walking to Stanbury, Master Stone, Top Withens and back across Haworth Moor to Bronte Bridge, Enshaw Knoll and into Haworth.  8 miles with 900ft of ascent.
The 'C' walk will be led by Elaine Hall and is the Railway Children Walk.  This is a circular starting fro Haworth Railway Station, walking to Oxenhope, Oakworth and back to Haworth through fields and paths alongside the railway.  It has many gates and few stiles.

Non-walkers are welcome to book on the coach to take advantage of visiting picturesque Haworth - a well known tourist destination and home of the Brontë sisters and heritage Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
