Our first walks from the Summer Programme:

Saturday 30th April 2016

Our first walks from the summer programme will be on a full day, finishing at Malham on Saturday 30th April 2016.
The ‘A’' walk will be led Linda Mills and starts from Helwith Bridge, walking up Long Lane to join the Pennine Way.  We then ascend to Fountains Fell then a long gradual descent to Malham Tarn via the Pennine Way and into Malham.   Approx 13 miles and 2,000 feet.
The 'B' walk will be led by Pat and Martin Hamer and will start in the centre of Malham, crossing the beck to the path leading to Janet's Foss waterfall and cave and continue to Gordale Bridge. From here we pick up the Dales High Way up onto Ewe Moor where we turn onto the Trougate path to Malham Tarn.   After a short stop for ice cream (we hope the van is there!) we return to Malham on the Pennine Way to Comb Hill and then continue below Ing Scar Crag and Raven Scar to the top of the cove.  We then descend the 400 steps into the bottom of the cove and follow the path back into Malham.   7.2  miles with a maximum height reached of 1265 feet.
The ’C’ walk will be led Elaine Hall and starts from Malham car park, following Gordale Beck through woodland to Janet’s Foss, then following a path to Gordale Scar and on to Malham Cove before retracing our route back to the road and into Malham.  Undulating, with some stiles and approximately 5 miles.

3rd-10th October 2016

I have now arranged another holiday to Majorca for next year and have sent details to the 27 people who have paid their deposit.

We will be travelling with Jet2Holidays again and staying at the same hotel as in 2015.  The price is £505 pp.

There are still one or two people who haven't yet sent me their passport details and I would be pleased if you could let me have these.  A photocopy of your passport page is fine - either emailed or posted.

8th-12th April 2017

We are planning to go to Wewton-Super-Mare for next year's rambling holiday.  This will be a 5 day holiday (Saturday to Wednesday) and the venue is the Anchor Head Hotel in the seaside town of Weston-Super-Mare.

If you would like to join us on our holiday, please complete the booking form which is presently being sent out to members.  This holiday is for all members, even if you do not wish to walk and we hope as many as possible will join us.
