OUR FIRST WALK FROM THE SUMMER PROGRAMME 2008
Saturday 3rd May 2008 TEBAY Half Day
"A" party leader Brian Townson is starting the walk from Gaisgill, walking through Longdale and ascending the Cowbound track to the Pack Horse Bridge in the Langdale Valley. The walk then traverses the shoulder of Middle Dale End, over Rispa Pike, Ellergill and Tebay Fell and finally into Tebay by White Comb and Tebay Gill. "B" party leader John Schofield is starting the walk at Tebay to Brockholes Farm along the River Lune, crossing over at Low Borrow Bridge, down to Low Borrowdale Farm over Belt Howe to Roundthwaite and returning back to Tebay. "C" party leader Marjorie Markham is starting the walk at the Old Service Station and joining the River Lune at Bybeck, crossing the river on the A685 and joining a Bridleway to New Tebay, along the dismantled railway and returning to Tebay by a track on the Kendal Road. 12 noon from Torrisholme Church of the Ascension, Torrisholme

MEMBERS SLIDES A DVD of the Members Slides evening has been produced at a cost of £3 which will go towards Club funds after a small amount is deducted for expenses. The DVD consists of nearly 400 photos taken by members on rambles during 2007, set to music. Any members wishing to purchase the DVD should contact the Secretary.

RAMBLING WEEKEND
DUMFRIES WEEKEND
11th - 13th April 2008 What a good weekend we had in Dumfries, even though the weather wasn't very kind on Friday and Saturday. This year there were lots of members snapping away with their digital cameras. I have created a slide show on DVD of the photos taken during our rambling weekend and any members wishing to purchase a copy, the price will again be £3, with proceeds (after expenses) going to Club funds. I will be putting the photos on the website in the very near future - so watch this space! In the meantime, click on the menu link on the left to see the photos of our Telford weekend in April 2007.
