Our next walks from the summer programme will be on a full day, finishing at Dent on Saturday 23rd July 2016.
The ‘A’' walk will be led by Andrew Holden and is a circular from Dent, climbing Flinters Gill to Green Lane. We then turn to climb to Crag Hill via Blea Gill Rigg before following the county boundary clockwise to Great Coum then on to Saddle of Fells and descending to High Moss to follow Deepdale to meet the River Dee and return to Dent. 10½ miles and 2000feet of ascent Overall walk time approximately 5½ hours.
The 'B' walk will be led by Jenny Hebblethwaite and is a circular from Dent, walking past the Village Green and starting to climb steadily for 1¾ miles along the edge of Flinter Gill, a wooded ravine. The path then flattens out and gives lovely views over Dentdale before crossing over to Barbondale at Shake Holes, proceeding to Combe House and Tofts to walk along the River Dee past the Heritage Centre nd back to Dent. 7 miles and reaching a height of 1,600 ft.
The ’C’ walk will be led by Elsie Dowthwaite and is a circular from Dent, walking to Church Bridge where we pick up the Dales Way before following the river to Bridge End and Mill Bridge, then through woods and fields to Deapdale Beck footbridge and Dyke Hall Lane, then past the old chapel to Mill Bridge and back along the river to Double Croft and finally via the Dales Way into Dent. Approx 5 miles 4/5 stiles and mostly flat. Places of interest are Heritage Centre (with café and home made scones etc), the Chuch and the Sedgwick Stone.
PICKUP TIME: 9am from Torrisholme Church of the Ascension, Torrisholme
(Pickups commence from Heysham Towers at 8.45am)

3rd-10th October 2016
I have now arranged another holiday to Majorca for next year and have sent details to the 27 people who have paid their deposit.
We will be travelling with Jet2Holidays again and staying at the same hotel as in 2015. The price is £505 pp.
There are still one or two people who haven't yet sent me their passport details and I would be pleased if you could let me have these. A photocopy of your passport page is fine - either emailed or posted.
Everyone travelling has now paid their final balance and I will send out further details nearer the time. Please don't forget to send me your passport details as soon as possible.
8th-12th April 2017
We are planning to go to Wewton-Super-Mare for next year's rambling holiday. This will be a 5 day holiday (Saturday to Wednesday) and the venue is the Anchor Head Hotel in the seaside town of Weston-Super-Mare.
If you would like to join us on our holiday, please complete the booking form which is presently being sent out to members and send, together with your cheque for £40pp to Linda Mountford, Treasurer.
This holiday is for all members, even if you do not wish to walk and we hope as many as possible will join us.
